So today in science class we dissected squid. I found out lots of fun, interesting facts about them too. My squid was a male, and he only had six legs instead of eight. Plus there were lots of peeling to do. Well that was then only fun thing we did. We even do to ate the squid's mantle! My science teacher was our personal cook and she deep fried all the squids' mantles. It was delicious! My classmate brought some seasoning, and it made the fried squid taste ten times better.
After today, dissecting squid is very fun and easy to do. I really look towards my future and plan to do this. After having so much fun and learning new things I think I should pass the knowledge down and let other people have this fun experience.

So this weekend, it's my culture's new year! It goes on for about two to three days. It's very fun, it's like a festival, and the food is amazing. Each year I have been in the parade they put on, but I don't think I am this year. Just to let you know, once you first step in the temple, you can already see people everywhere, hear loud Laotian music, and smell delicious food being prepared. Plus they also have fun stations for kids, such as bounce houses, face painting, and a dancing mat.

So the past three days have been very tiring. That's because I'm trying out for softball. There are lots of great players that tried out, but there are only 18 spots on the team. Since there were 28 girls that tried out, 10 are going to be cut off. I really hope I'm not one of those ten girls.
On the first day of softball tryouts, I was very nervous. Luckily, my friends were there, but actually I think I did a great job. We caught lots of pop flies and grounders. On the second day we kind of did the same thing as the first day, but we showed the coach and manager how fast and well us players run to the bases. The third day, we were supposed to bat but our friends from high school were having a baseball game. So all that was canceled, so we did some more running and catching. The day after that was the last day of try outs. I showed them my hardest.

It's a week before Valentine's Day and Henry is about to make the best decision of  his life. He is going to ask his crush since the third grade, Penelope Warner, to be his valentine. He is so nervous that he was very close to not feeling his legs. He's afraid he might embarrass himself in front of the lovely girl. He begins to slowly walk to her but then he saw Bryan Nickles, the school's jock, talking to her. Henry was so devastated, but he's not going to give up. Henry told himself, "I have to ask her sooner or later", "before she
As he's walking home, he see's a little valentine stand. He saw chocolates, flowers, and stuffed animals. He started

So yesterday my school had a celebration for honor roll students at Boomers. Students with a GPA of 3.50 or higher for semester one had the great chance to go, and you got to bring a family member. So I thought that was really cool.
Before I got there, I thought there were going to be other guests, but I was wrong. We had Boomers all to ourselves, and it was fun ending your Thursday with your fellow teachers, administrators, and classmates.
The first activity I played at Boomers, was Laser Tag. My friends and I were really hyped to shoot each other with lasers. In the Laser Tag room, it is pitched black with neon, bright coloring. The walls had holes and it was pretty easy to shoot opponents. After that we decided to play Mini Golf, and I had a great time during that activity as well.

One day in the col, misty day, there was this little girl named Sasha. The thing she always wanted to do was learn how to play the ukulele, but her parents didn't even care one bit. She tells her parents, "Why can't I have a ukulele? All of my friends have one!" And still not caring her parents just watched the football game in the living you.
A week before Easter, Sasha and her parents went to the mall. Sasha spotted an Easter bunny. The Easter bunny was there to take pictures with little kids. Sasha thought he was there to listen to little kids and what they want for Easter, like Christmas. So Sasha ran to the waiting line, cutting everyone, and sat on the Easter bunny's lap. She said, "Can you get me a ukulele for Easter?" Everyone laughed and she felt so embarrassed. She thought everyone thought it was a joke. But it wasn't to Sasha. So Sasha ran to her parents crying after what happened. Her parents briefly ask her, "What happened Sasha?" She replies, "I told the Easter bunny that I wanted a ukulele for Easter."

So today, we have a rally going on during eight period, and the theme this month is 80's.  The whole leadership crew are responsible for the rallies, so we thank them a whole lot. About one fourth of the school dressed up, but we still look good. I like have rallies, because all the classes are shorter and in eight period, half of the short schedule is just having fun.
So far I have been to one rally, besides today, and it was awesome! There was lots of fun activities that the students and teachers get to play and the rest of the people watches who wins. There are two rallies, rally A and rally B, because we can't fit eight-hundred students at once. When its students and teachers turns for their rally we are separated by grade, seventh or eight. On the activities, it's a competition between the grades. It's fun beating the eight graders because it makes us look better than them.

One day there was a girl named Shasha. The main thing she wanted to do in go skiing on China Peak. She wanted to do this since she was seven years old but her parents don't have enough money. She always tried to save money, but her parents had to spend the money on bills. So on one week before Christmas, she was at the grocery store and she saw Santa. She ran to him and waited in line for her turn. When it was her turn she told him what she wanted, to go skiing on China Peak.
Two days before Christmas, while Shasha was sleeping, her parents were planning a three day skii trip for her! They raised money from their jobs and money from a large garage sale they had when Shasha was in school. They want to surprise her by saying that she's going to her grandmother's house. So the day after right before Shasha woke up, her Aunt Kendall came to watch her while Shasha's parents buy her skii gear.

It's six o'clock in the morning and I am awake waiting for my cousins to arrive from North Carolina. A few things that pop up in my head when I think of Thanksgiving is food, family, joy, and laughing. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because I get to see family members that I don't see very often. And having them on a great holiday is delightful. I also love Thanksgiving because of how my big sister brings her delicous, home-made turkeys. And my Aunt's soft home-made corn bread muffin. I am glad that we have Thanksgiving on a week of vacation, because when my whole family is in town, I want to spend every second with them. Because I don't usually see them, and it's fun catching up with my cousins and exchanging events that happened.
Thinking of all about Thanksgiving just makes me so anxious to start my day. An hour has passed and my cousins were supposed to arrive in California 3 hours ago. I thought something was going on. I think their flight crashed or something?!

This week is "Red Ribbon Week" and this week means that we should never do drugs. At my school their are special events at my school. On Monday we got to wear sweat pants are top. On Tuesday, it was a day to wear a bright top and the brighter it was the better. On Wednesday, it was wacky clothes so that was a fun experience of wearing funky clothing.
On Late-Start Thursday it was a funny day to have our hair looking it weirdest. Friday, today, we get to wear any sports jersey. It can even be a school spirit jersey. This week has been very crazy and I am glad I got to spend it with my fellow friends at school.
